Glenda is a highly experienced & caring Psychologist who skillfully journeys with her clients from vulnerability to increased clarity, hope & resiliency. She holds a Doctorate (Ph.D) in Behavioural Science in Medicine & a Bachelor’s degree with Honours in Psychology, and is registered as a general Psychologist with AHPRA and Medicare.

Glenda's clinical, teaching & research experience spans several areas of Psychology including: child & family psychology, developmental & educational psychology, health & medical psychology (particularly cancer care), & general psychology with adult, adolescent & child clients.  She has worked in teaching and research in tertiary and public health systems, as well as in a range of clinical and applied psychology settings including: the public health system; private hospitals; educational institutions such as TAFE NSW and a Christian college; the Family Law Court; an Early Intervention Centre for Children with Disabilities; plus additionally run her own private clinical practice for more than 20 years. This depth and breadth of knowledge and experience facilitates a holistic approach that often enables deep understanding and resolution of problems beyond ‘bandaid’ solutions.

Using a range of practical, evidence-based techniques in treatment programs that are specifically tailored for each individual client, Glenda effectively assesses & treats a broad range of issues including:

life stress and adjustment disorders; anxiety & phobias; depression & suicidal ideation; trauma (including survivors of child abuse, neglect or relationship violence); sleep disorders; family, parenting & relationship issues (including impacts of partner abuse, separation & divorce); autism spectrum disorders, ADHD and developmental disorders; chronic illness (eg. cancer, CFS/ME, long COVID); accident & workplace injuries; pain management; eating disorders; grief & loss issues; identity and existential crises (eg. “who am I?” and “why am I here?”); & most addictions, OCD or behavioural issues in children, teens &  adults.

Glenda offers a spiritually-integrated approach to therapy for those who desire it, and supportive Christian counsel to fellow pilgrims on their journey of faith.  Glenda also offers care for carers by providing supportive counsel & treatment to people who face the challenges of professionally or informally caring for others including: parents; carers of the elderly, disabled or infirmed; teachers; health professionals; pastors and missionaries; community & emergency service workers.

Glenda is also usually able to assist with diagnostic assessments or legal reports, but kindly requests that these needs are discussed at the outset of treatment.
