Jane Chambers (Registered Psychologist)
Jane is a mature aged psychologist with over 15 years’ experience. She offers an evidenced based therapeutic approach for female clients from 20 - 80+years. Jane worked in nursing and disability areas prior to working as a psychologist across health, mental health employment and community settings.
As a Psychologist Jane has most recently focused on providing therapeutic support to female clients who experience psychological distress associated with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, life transitions and health concerns.
Jane also provides therapy for ladies who have experienced complex trauma, including childhood abuse.
Jane uses a values-based approach in therapy and assists clients via providing a safe place to talk, psychoeducation, and skill and strategy development that is targeted to be used by client’s in their everyday life. Jane also works with clients to identify and move towards goals that are value centered. A final aim of therapy is to work in conjunction with clients (and their significant others where appropriate) to develop a Mental Health Wellness Plan which gives them a toolbox of techniques, strategies and alternate supports to assist them to stay well.
