Referrals and Rebates

Eligible patients can receive rebates from Medicare when you have a referral from your GP.  You can obtain a referral by making an appointment with your GP and completing a ‘Mental Health Care Plan’. This referral entitles you to 6 plus a possible 4 further rebatable sessions per calendar year. You must bring this referral to your first appointment in order to be eligible for a Medicare rebate.

Many private health insurance companies also provide rebates for individual and couples therapy.  Please check with your insurance provider and inform us in advance of you appointment if you intend to claim through a health fund.

We also provide services under the Transport Accident Commission, Victims of Crime, WorkCover and the Department of Veterans Affairs.

No referral is required for appointments with counsellors.
